How Planned Parenthood Buys Votes to Keep Tax Subsidies Coming [video]

Planned Parenthood is one of the largest donors for and against candidates in America today.

Not surprisingly, the millions of dollars spent to support candidates are for liberals.

For example, for the first time in history, the majority of senators voted to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

The vote in the Senate was a successful 53 to de-fund and 46 to keep funding Planned Parenthood, for which tax money is used. However, due to the Democrats filibuster, the vote fell short of the 60 votes needed to pass.

I know personally how Planned Parenthood buys the candidates with money and helps win elections. Planned Parenthood spent over $150,000 to defeat me when I ran for office.

Politicians, for example, on the Senate floor defended Planned Parenthood with the money in their pocketbook. Every single senator who voted against de-funding Planned Parenthood was awarded money from the abortion giant, except for one. The exception was Angus King. He would not accept Planned Parenthood cash. All were Democrats in the Senate, except for Socialist Independent Bernie Sanders and Republican Senator Kirk of Illinois (who received $18,000).

Some of Planned Parenthood money comes from an action fund; others come from a lobby group. At just the federal level, $15 million was spent on ads, phone calls, community-organizing events, mail and door-to-door canvassing.

Some of the money goes to the elections of candidates, where often the cap is around $10,000. Others go either for or against a candidate, but never directly to the candidate. For example, they spent $144,058 to support Senator Baldwin, Democrat of Wisconsin and spent $351,996 to defeat senate candidate Rehberg, which helped Senator Tester of Montana.

Then, individuals at Planned Parenthood give money, as well. For example, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards personally donated $1,000 to support Senator Blumenthal, one of the biggest and most vocal opponents against the efforts to de-fund Planned Parenthood.  He is a Senator from Connecticut. The money clouds the issue.

How immoral it is to force taxpayers to pay for abortion when it violates their conscience and religious beliefs.

How immoral it is to support any organization that would sell body parts.

How immoral it is to have any federal money going to abortion at all.

Watch this great video brief on why we need to de-fund Planned Parenthood:
