Millions were brought together in prayer after Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the football field. It wasn’t just the players on the field or the fans in the stadium but millions of viewers from across the country and worldwide watched the game.

Here are 4 things you should know:

#1: It was one of the biggest spontaneous displays of public prayer.

It was uplifting to see his teammates and other players drop to their knees, not in protest but in prayer, huddled in a circle around their fallen comrade.

After Damar Hamlin was brought to the hospital, another prayer circle of fans formed outside.

#2: What happened?

During a live NFL game, Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin collapsed after a hard tackle by Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin got up but immediately collapsed from an apparent heart attack.

#3: Prayers on social media.

Millions took to social media to offer their prayers for Hamlin to recover.

Dion Dawkins Tweeted: “Prayer is power and Prayer is POWERFUL we need the world to pray for Damar Hamlin and his family.”

Tim Tebow Tweeted: “Please join me in prayer for Damar Hamlin.”

And over 42 million saw the Buffalo Bills post of the players huddled in prayer for Hamlin.

#4: Damar! Faith?

Damar Hamlin had a hard life. His father was arrested and sent to jail when he was a young boy, leaving his mother to take care of the family. She worked 2 jobs just to make ends meet.

Damar said he got through these difficult times through his faith in God. Damar once said, “My faith is in God. So, whatever he has planned for me, that’ll be it.”

The mainstream media and academia love to tell us that Christianity in the U.S. is quickly dying here in the United States.

Imagine their surprise at the millions who showed that belief in God is still strong in America.

    1. Hello Craig,
That scene was amazing how our Savior took a dying satiation and turned it around and showed His GLORY to this world. What a MIGHTY GOD a Believer in Christ will have if we can only believe and have the faith, courage and power to believe ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE if we believe that Jesus is the Savior of this world. Me personally know that I serve a MIGHTY GOOD LORD and FATHER in the heavens and in earth, Glory to His name, His name is Jesus

  1. PRAISE OUR LIVING GOD!!! What a beautiful site to see,and some say there is no GOD and why pray, well living proof that There is a people who do believe and not embarressed to bow down to an invisible GOD who is alpowerful and listens when we humble ourselves..We the church should react in agreement in this manner when one of our own hurts, falls or in need.. YOU HAVE TO BE SELFLESS WITH YOUR LIFE…((No One Has Time))

  2. Praise God! He is the only God who answers our prayers, and deserves our worship. He works in mysterious ways, and how this all came about, His hand was in this, and it was awesome. No one can tell us anything different, there is a God and He is real, He is good, He is holy, He is everything. What more can I say. Thank you Lord, for showing us time and time again You see us and know all things!
