Ban the Bible? That’s Got to Be a Lie, Right? [6 Disturbing Realities]

Craig Huey AB 2943, California 1 Comment

Progressive politics and the media are denying that the California “Ban the Bible” bill will really ban the Bible.

Across America, progressive groups and politicians are anxiously waiting for the outcome of California’s AB 2943 bill. They want this in all 50 states.

Here are 6 facts you should know now about AB 2943:

Fact #1: The bill will be voted on in August/September by the California State Senate.

Before the Senate’s summer recess, thousands of Huey Report readers shocked the Senate by flooding their offices with phone calls.

Fact #2: The pushback to the opposition to AB 2943 is that this will not really ban the Bible. Here is what this bill really does:

The bill says,

“Advertising, offering to engage in, or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual” will become illegal.

This means that AB 2943 could:

  • Make it illegal for bookstores or Amazon to sell books that teach a Biblical viewpoint on homosexuality and gender confusion – potentially including the sale of the Bible
  • Make it illegal to have a Christian conference on sexuality and marriage from a Biblical perspective, if that conference discourages homosexual behavior
  • Make it illegal for pastors to encourage their church members that they can overcome same-sex attraction or gender confusion

Fact #3: If the Senate passes this bill, it will go to the governor to sign.

Fact #4: The only way to stop it:

The only way to stop this bill from passing is to mobilize people against this bill – to tell State Senators that we will not tolerate this denial of religious freedom.

Fact #5: Sign the petition, and get your friends and family members to sign it too.

The way that we will raise our voice is to get as many signatures as possible on this petition: “Help Save Christian Therapy, Books and Schools in California.”

If you haven’t already signed it, please click here to sign it.

Fact #6: I need your help to stop this! With it, we will win!

We need your help to spread the word and give every person in California a chance to raise their voice and sign the petition.

In order to do that, we need the money to put on a massive digital campaign that will promote this message through Facebook, email and other digital channels.

Would you give $10 today to help us get the word out about AB 2943?

$10 can pay for a Facebook ad that could be seen by well over a thousand people in California.

Together, we can help defeat AB 2943. Thank you in advance for your help!

  1. One way to approach left-leaning senators, I think, is to point out that litigation is sure to follow this bill. It will be tied up in the courts for years as it works its way to the Supreme Court. As such it will cost California untold number of tax dollars. In the end, it is my belief that the Supreme Court will uphold the first amendment and strike down this California attempt to create national law that supersedes the rights and will of the majority of Americans.

In addition, I would point out that LGBT efforts on campuses to draw in heterosexual individuals or to counsel them concerning the “advantages” of gender change and what not, should also fall under the same treatment. In other words, no one, not even parents, should talk to kids about whether they “feel” like their “assigned gender” or not.

Truly, there are so many potholes in this bill it is staggering, and the senators need to know what they’re heading toward if they pass this bill.

And if they do . . . God help us all.
