Inflation is destructive.
It’s evil.
It’s an immoral tax.
It’s cause: government irresponsible overspending.
We now have an unsustainable national debt of 27 Trillion dollars. This year’s budget deficit is about $2 Trillion.
$1 Trillion a year goes just to pay interest on the debt.
And the overspending just continues…as does inflation.
Ever feel like Washington treats your tax dollars like Monopoly money?
That’s because they do…
The U.S. government spends our hard-earned tax dollars like a teenager with a credit card and no curfew, wasting more than $1 trillion on frivolous projects and wasteful spending in 2024 alone.
Elon Musk and DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) has identified $2 Trillion in cuts for fraud and waste.
Senator Rand Paul’s annual Festivus Report points out that fiscal responsibility is as scarce in Washington as common sense is in Congress.
Here are the most ridiculous ways bureaucrats burned through your hard-earned cash in 2024 and helped contribute to our inflation:
- Disinformation Index: $300,000
The Department of State (DOS) funded censorship of conservatives and Christian media. - Influencer payoffs: $4,804, 082
The Department of State (DOS) spent nearly $5 million on influencers. - Rats on Coke: $419,470
The Biden-Harris administration spent nearly $500,000 studying whether lonely rats like cocaine more than their cheerful counterparts. Spoiler: taxpayers feel like neither type after this wasteful experiment. - Killing Cats with COVID-19: $2.24 Million
Thanks to the NIH and USDA, 30 cats were infected with COVID-19, then euthanized – all to see if felines could spread the virus. Turns out, the only thing spreading here is taxpayer range. - Drag Queens on Ice: $10,000
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) melted taxpayer patience with a grant to fund ice-skating drag queens performing climate change-themed shows. Their troupe? The “Bearded Ladies Cabaret.” Their message? Save the planet, but first, enjoy a figure-eight.
- 16-Foot Pigeon Statue: $40,000
Birds of a feather waste together. The NEA spent $385,000 since 2015 on art displays, including a giant pigeon sculpture for New York’s High Line Park. New Yorkers might wonder, can they at least vote on what bird graces their sidewalks next? Maybe a bald eagle instead?
- Ghost Town Buildings: $10 Billion
The federal government kept empty buildings furnished, heated, and leased while taxpayers struggled to pay rent.
- Pickleball Complex: $12 Million
Las Vegas got itself a shiny pickleball complex, complete with 30 courts. Neighbors begged the government not to move forward, citing noise and traffic concerns, but why listen to the people when taxpayer cash is burning a hole in the budget?
- “Sesame Street” Iraq Edition: $20 Million
Big Bird flew to Iraq to promote “mutual respect” and “inclusion” through a Sesame Street spin-off. What’s next? Elmo handles international relations?
- Promoting Soccer to Fight Terrorism: $250,000
Obviously, what radical ideologues need most is a pair of shin guards and a goalie net. Funded experiments to promote soccer in Serbia and the Maldives make you wonder if anyone in Congress has read a newspaper recently.
- Circus Arts Grants: $365,000
The DHHS spent a lot of money promoting circus performances nationwide, including $30,000 in 2024 for “free” shows in city parks. Taxpayers are wondering when D.C. will stop clowning around.
- Girl-Centered Climate Change Programs: $3,000,000
The Department of State spent $3 million on girl-led “action programs” to combat climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- The Magic Tricks– $7,000,000:
$7 million was allocated to study magic.
And the list goes on…
It’s not just a matter of wasted money—this is a mockery of hardworking Americans who pay for this waste. Spending a trillion dollars on such nonsense is offensive to struggling families dealing with inflation and higher living costs.
And it’s not the constitutional function of the federal government…
It’s ideologically driven and a misuse of our tax money.
Senator Paul said, “Fiscal responsibility is a lonely journey.”
Thankfully, with Elon Musk handling DOGE (the Department of Government Efficiency), there’s hope on the horizon.
It’s time to end wasteful spending and return some sanity—and dollars—to the American people.
Some of this waste includes:
- $59.3 million by FEMA for luxury hotels for illegal immigrants.
- $7.5 billion for electronic vehicle charging stations in 10 states.
- $42 billion for broadband in rural areas – with zero built so far.
- Over $1 billion for liberal publications, including $517,855 to Politico.
- $2 billion in wasteful DEI and climate change contracts.
