Medical Lies Crushed: Why the FDA and States are Removing Fluoride from Drugs and Your Water – 6 Facts about Fluoride that Every American Needs to Know

Huey ReportFamily, FDA, Flouride, Health Crisis, News

Key Takeaways:

  • Excessive fluoride consumption is poisoning our children.
  • The FDA has never approved the use of fluoride supplements or fluoridated water.
  • Fluoride occurs naturally in ground water and in our teeth and bones.
  • Adding fluoride to water, food, and via supplements is unnecessary and has toxic side effects.
  • Reducing sugar intake and practicing good dental hygiene is the best way to reduce tooth decay.

Fluoride side effects and harm have been kept secret… until now.

It’s being banned from drinking water in states across the U.S. – and in prescription form by the FDA.

It’s about time – it’s long overdue.

For over 30 years, I have written and have spoken out about forced fluoridation.

And I’ve been angrily attacked by the medical establishment.

But now… finally… the truth is coming out.

Here are 6 facts about fluoride in your drinking water and more that all parents – and every American – need to know:

  1. For over 70 years, doctors have been prescribing fluoride supplements for children.

Here are the most commonly prescribed fluoride supplements:

  • Ludent – a chewable fluoride tablet
  • FluoriSHIELD – a fluoride supplement drop or tablet
  • Fluor-a-Day – a fluoride tablet used for pediatric patients[1]

These supplements are typically prescribed for babies as young as 6 months – and for children up to the age of 16 – who live in areas with either low fluoride water or non-fluoridated water.

The FDA has never approved these supplements.

Beware when you read the words, “Studies have shown…”

The word “studies” is a broad and undefined term, which doesn’t mean what you might assume it means.

The effectiveness of fluoridation – of water, of milk, of salt, and of supplements such as tablets, drops, and gels – has never been validated by any randomized controlled trial.[2]

The FDA has classified fluoride as an “unapproved new drug.”

  1. Many states and local jurisdictions are considering ending – or have already ended – water supply fluoridation.

Utah and Florida have enacted legislation in 2025 to ban the fluoridation of water.

Hawaii leaves fluoridation decisions to local jurisdictions.

Only about 11% of its population receives fluoridated water.[3]

Louisiana, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Nebraska have bills currently under consideration to either prohibit fluoridation or make it optional.

Local jurisdictions in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Missouri have also rejected or removed water supply fluoridation.[4]

Over 4,700 professionals have signed a statement calling for an end to water fluoridation worldwide.[5]

The signatories include medical, dental, scientific, and environmental professionals.

  1. Swallowed fluoride has negative toxic side effects in children.

Fluoride is able to kill bacteria not only on teeth, but also in the stomach and intestines when it is swallowed.

It alters the gut microbiome, which is dangerous in babies and young children because their gut microbiome isn’t fully developed.

We now know that fluoride in the small intestines of children can cause weight gain, thyroid disorders, and decreased IQ.[6]

In addition to the dangers of fluoride supplements, fluoride toxicity can occur in children from swallowing fluoride toothpaste or mouthwashes.[7]

Acute toxicity can cause gastrointestinal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

  1. The toxic effects of adding fluoride to water and food products outweigh its limited health benefits.

The toxic side effects of the unnatural consumption of fluoride are well known.

Large sections of the population in developed countries suffer tooth damage called fluorosis due to the fluoridation of drinking water and fluoridated dental products.[8]

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says that about 23% of U.S. children between the ages of 6 and 11 have dental fluorosis.

Since no randomized controlled trials have ever been conducted to clinically prove that fluoridated water reduces tooth decay, the so-called “evidence” that it does is anecdotal at best.

There are several factors that affect tooth health:

  • The amount of natural, untreated water consumed
  • Oral hygiene
  • Diet – especially the amount of sugar consumed in breakfast cereal, carbonated drinks and other highly processed foods

Instead of adding fluoride to water and food – and swallowing it via dental products and supplements – governments and health advocates should be encouraging better diet control and dental hygiene.

Dr. Marty Makary, the new FDA Commissioner under President Trump, said, “The best way to prevent cavities in children is by avoiding excessive sugar intake and good dental hygiene, not by altering a child’s microbiome.”[9]

He also stated that it’s vital that the FDA “err on the side of safety” when it comes to our children.

  1. The debate over fluoridation of water, food and supplements is intense.

Most people have very strong opinions about fluoride.

Whatever they’ve been taught, whatever they’ve read, whatever they’ve heard from sources they trust, they are totally convinced is true beyond a shadow of doubt.

Most people are very closed-minded on the subject – they aren’t willing to even listen to – or consider the merits of – or discuss a different perspective.

The American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Pediatrics Association (APA) are adamantly opposed to the FDA taking fluoride supplements off the market.

Keep in mind that these are primarily political organizations – and that they have radical views on most issues.

They are far more concerned with maintaining their political power and influence over the FDA and other government agencies than they are about the health of children.

When I spoke out years ago in a public forum about the dangers of fluoride, the feedback I received from the medical establishment was so intense!

It was like the hysteria of the Russia collusion attack on President-elect Trump… or the hysteria of the COVID quarantine.

I was accused of being a quack who wanted all the children in America to lose all of their teeth!

  1. The correct amount of fluoride already exists in nature.

Fluoride is one of the most abundant elements in nature.

It occurs naturally in ground water, tea leaves, and seafood that contains edible bones or shells.[10]

The human body already has fluoride in the teeth and bones.

Whatever fluoride the body needs for optimal human health, God has already supplied in His masterful creative design.

Problems occur when people upset the balances already built into the created world, and attempt to manufacture additional synthetic sources of naturally occurring elements.

Contrary to some public policies, governments don’t know better than our Creator does about what’s best for our health.

Action Items:

The FDA wants to remove fluoride supplements from the market on October 31, 2025. They are asking for feedback between now and then.

  1. Consider contacting the FDA by email or phone to support the removal of fluoride supplements. Go to www.fda.gov for contact info, or call
    888-463-6332.
  2. Share this article with friends or relatives who have babies or small children.
  3. Use your favorite search engine (I recommend grok.com) to query about the fluoride content of the ground water in your area. Many locations within the U.S. have sufficient fluoride in the natural water supply.
  4. Reduce the amount of sugar you and your children consume. And practice good dental hygiene.
