IRS and NSA scandals: The Result of Big Government

The recent IRS and NSA scandals have placed our First Amendment rights at risk.

And Big Government is not the answer to our problems. In fact, it is the problem.

No better example makes this clearer than the recent IRS abuse of power.

For years, the IRS has been targeting Christian organizations, Tea Party clubs and conservative groups with audits, denials and unwanted delays as nonprofits. They even have been releasing private donor information.

It’s wrong. It’s unethical. It’s a danger to everyone’s freedom–Democrat, Republican, Independent–everyone.

That the bureaucrats are using the IRS for political favors is not surprising–as Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Now we also find that the NSA has secretly obtained all your phone, text and email.

This is unconstitutional. And it’s again abuse of power.

President Obama and liberal Democrats say your information is only used to protect you and that it’s safe with them.

But you can’t trust Big Government, as the IRS proves.

Government is not accountable and is out of control. The Washington corruption permeates the whole IRS.

Here is a recent video by the Heritage Foundation showing the cost of Big Government. It’s about 2 minutes. Click here to watch it.
