It’s sick…
It’s depraved…
It illustrates the moral degradation of our country.
A recent poll revealed that 17% of Democrat voters believe America would have been better off if former President Trump had been killed in the attempted assassination.
The poll breakdown includes:
- 28% of Democrats say that America would have been better off if Trump had been assassinated.
- 48% of Democrats believe that America would not be better off if the opposing party’s candidate for president had been assassinated.
- 24% of Democrats were not sure.
- 51% don’t think Trump’s security detail should be increased.
- 62% think Trump’s security should be increased (32% disagree).
- 49% of Democrats think it’s at least somewhat likely that Trump himself or the Trump campaign was involved in the assassination attempt (21% said it was very likely).
The polarization and the disturbing propensity for Democrats to support violence against those who don’t agree with their political policies or values is staggering.
Pollster Scott Rasmussen said, “It is hard to imagine a greater threat to democracy than expressing a desire to have your political opponent murdered.”
However, the vitriol and hatred toward Trump is a product of the radical left. After all, Democrat leaders, the biased media, social media, Hollywood celebrities, and internet influencers have all called Trump a “criminal,” a “rapist,” a “Nazi,” a “fascist,” “Hitler,” a “dictator,” “evil” and “an existential threat to democracy.”
So, is it surprising to anyone that supporters of the Democrat party hate Trump?
Is it surprising that some mentally ill people would act on all of that hatred and decide to kill someone who was an “existential threat”?
On the contrary, it would be surprising if all of the left’s hateful rhetoric against Trump went without incident.
For example, look at the deranged man, Ryan Routh, who was captured trying to murder Trump as he played golf.
Routh wrote a letter detailing why he hated Trump and why he wanted to assassinate him.
According to Routh’s letter, which was released to the public, “Trump is dangerously unfit for the presidency” and a “threat to peace,” wrote Routh.
Routh blamed Trump for the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East, saying, “He [Trump]ended relations with Iran like a child, and now the Middle East has unraveled.”
His letter calls for others to follow in his footsteps saying:
“It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”
This “manifesto” was not the ramblings of a lunatic… His chilling plan for assassinating Trump was chilling and well thought out. What’s telling about it is that it’s written using the same anti-Trump rhetoric of the Democrats and the media.
“Their [Democrats] rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I’m the one who is going to save the country and they are the ones that are destroying the country—both from the inside out,” said President Trump.
It’s clear that the Democrat marketing machine has fueled unprecedented levels of hate and vitriol against former President Trump.
The shocking poll numbers revealing support for his assassination among Democrat voters underscore a dangerous trend toward political violence.
This is not mere disagreement; it’s a disturbing descent into moral decay driven by relentless demonization from Democrat leaders, media elites, and Hollywood icons. The attempt on Trump’s life by Ryan Routh is a stark manifestation of this toxic rhetoric.
The future of our democracy depends on our ability to debate ideas with civility and respect, not to promote or condone violence against those with whom we disagree.
We must return to the values that define us as a nation—freedom, justice, and mutual respect.
