(Editors note: This is part of our continuing series for the presidential candidates for the 2024 election.)
Robert F. Kennedy is running for president as a Democrat.
He is the first serious candidate to challenge Biden in the Democrat party—Marianne Williamson was the first.
The most recent polls show:
- Biden at 64%
- Kennedy at 19%
- Williamson at 5.7%
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr comes from a long line of politicians. His uncle John was President. His father, Robert Kennedy, was the Attorney General, and his other uncle Teddy Kennedy was a Senator.
The Kennedys were “liberal” Democrats.
And although JFK and RFK are heroes to the Democrat party, RFK, Jr has become a villain in the party for his views on the vaccine, Big Pharma, Big Tech, and other issues.
Robert Kennedy, Jr is a big government, pro-socialist Democrat… except when he is not.
And although RFK sounds like a moderate at times, he’s chosen radical Democrat, former Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich as his campaign manager… someone many readers will remember from the past.
Kucinich was one of the most outspoken critics of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and once proposed a Department of Peace.
Here are 10 things you should know about where RFK, Jr stands on the issues…
You’ll see why he is controversial among his fellow Democrats.
1) He opposed the Covid vaccines based on science, logic, and facts
RFK, Jr has been very critical of the Covid vaccines. He says that there is “no science showing Covid vaccines worked, or cut down on deaths… no studies show it…”
In fact, RFK points out that nations that didn’t vax had the lowest Covid death rates.
Nigeria had a 1.5% vax rate but had only 14 deaths per million. Kennedy said Haiti also had a very low vax rate, with only 15 deaths per million population.
He cites several studies on Covid vax rates and death rates in the U.S., saying that “the U.S. had the highest vax rate in the world and the highest death rate, with over 3,000 deaths per million. The U.S. is 4.2% of the world’s population, but we had 16% of the Covid deaths.”
Kennedy also points out that the countries with the least Covid vaccinations had the least deaths… and used alternative drugs and medications like Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine.
2) The media, Biden, Trump, Big Pharma, and the medical establishment’s Covid protocols, including the lockdowns
Kennedy is very critical of the U.S. response to Covid, saying it was totally botched, especially regarding the lockdowns.
He speaks out against the government mandates and control— And they hate him for his position.
“The Covid lockdowns were horrendous and caused a tremendous amount of damage. Sweden didn’t have any lockdowns and had the lowest death rate. The U.S. had massive lockdowns and the highest death rates, costing the U.S. $16 Trillion.”
Again, the media and the radical Democrats that are now leading the party fear and demonize what he is saying.
3) RFK calls out and opposes corporate welfare
RFK, Jr is not a fan of the out-of-control government spending on both sides and is totally against corporate welfare.
“We shifted $4 Trillion in wealth from the middle class to a new aristocracy of Billionaires… we created 500 new billionaires—The lockdowns perpetuated the class divide, said Kennedy. “Existing billionaires like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Mike Bloomberg increased their wealth by 30% during the pandemic… for example, Amazon got to shut down all of its competitors.”
This is, of course, because of the lockdowns and mandates.
4) Raising taxes and instituting a wealth tax: Not sure of Socialist idea!
RFK wouldn’t say if he were for or against a wealth tax for the Socialists, like Elizabeth Warren and Gavin Newsom want (a tax on assets as well as income)—The Kennedys are one of the wealthiest families in America.
However, he is against the huge disparities in wealth and says it’s “unhealthy for the country or healthy for democracy.”
He’s not against higher taxes for the rich to “help build up the middle class.”
This is a policy that appeals to the pro-socialists… More money for the pro-socialists.
5) RFK opposes the war in Ukraine
Kennedy is worlds apart from his party on this issue, as well.
“We have to get away from a warfare economy (spend less on the military),” said Kennedy.
He’s against the Ukraine war, saying it’s a “misplaced priority. Right now, we have no goal or strategy for Ukraine…. Our objective over there should be to prevent bloodshed… I would negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine.”
He’s against how Biden has handled Russia/Ukraine war– We should not invite Ukraine into NATO and put nuclear weapons or missile defense on the Ukraine/Russia borders.
6) His Fix for the economy—More Socialism
Kennedy actually suggested that we follow Communist China’s economic model—An economic model based on slave labor, theft of intellectual properties, total government control of the banks and industries, and total government manipulation of the currency.
Yet he says that “the strength of a country comes from a strong economy and a vibrant middle class.”
7) RFK opposes bank bailouts and Biden’s spending priorities
Kennedy is against bank bailouts, calling it a mistake.
“Taxpayers should not bail them out,” he said. “We printed up $300 Billion “new” dollars to bail them out… taxpayer’s dollars and that same month gave $113 billion to Ukraine… Yet, we cut food stamps for 30 million Americans by 90% and removed 50 million Americans from Medicare rolls… and we have 76% inflation over the last 2 years for foodstuffs… With these bailouts, we’re taking money from the poor and giving it to rich bankers.”
Kennedy also bashed the Biden Administration and Congress for borrowing over $6 billion daily from China and Japan.
8) RFK doesn’t believe in Censoring opposing views
Differs from Biden in that he doesn’t believe in censoring his political rivals, critics, opponents, or enemies and is afraid of Americans losing their Constitutional rights and America losing democracy.
Kennedy says that Big Tech has been weaponized and censoring free speech must stop… His solution however is more dangerous big government regulating Big Tech…
But he never says anything about holding big government accountable for their part in colluding with Big Tech to censor Christians, Conservatives, Republicans, and Libertarians.
“We need to learn how to disagree without hating each other.”
9) RFK says Washington is out of touch with average Americans
Kennedy railed against Washington, saying it was out of touch with the “desperation” of the American people.
“People feel that they are lied to by the politicians and media and the institutions they once trusted, and they are done… they want honesty and truth from the government and these institutions,” said Kennedy.
“The system is rigged against the people… If you are poor, you have no participation in the political process. The corrupt merger of state and corporate power has taken over… The government and these institutions have been weaponized against the poor and middle class.”
Our regulatory industries need to serve the needs of the people and public interests, not be sock puppets for the corporations or the rich—NIH works for Big Pharma.
10) JFK assassination CIA conspiracy theory
I disagree with RFK, Jr on many issues, including his recent claims that the CIA assassinated his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, and his father, Former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, Sr.
RFK is claiming that there is overwhelming evidence of a CIA cover-up of the murders and has cited links between the CIA and Lee Harvey Oswald, the alleged assassin of JFK. Click HERE to see my article “The Shocking, Disturbing Truth about JFK”.
Kennedy retweeted a tweet of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson talking about the CIA’s alleged involvement… he tweeted: “The most courageous newscast in 60 years. The CIA’s murder of my uncle was a successful coup d’état from which our democracy has never recovered.”
We are still waiting to discover RFK’s views on cultural issues, religious freedom, abortion, and other social issues.
