The oil and gas crisis is escalating, with sky-high prices… and now a diesel shortage.
It’s all because of bad government policies — deliberate policies to kill the gas and oil industry and transform the U.S. with their radical green energy agenda.
Here are 7 things you should know:
#1: The Diesel fuel crisis is growing.
The Diesel fuel crisis has expanded from New England to the entire eastern seaboard and will now affect Maryland, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina — Areas in Tennessee are already seeing severe effects due to the shortage.
The effects may be as bad or worse as the supply chain shortages the country experienced during the COVID lockdowns, with bare shelves in supermarkets and other stores.
#2: Diesel supplies are dwindling.
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported the U.S. had less than 25 days of reserve diesel supply.
#3: What diesel fuel is used for.
Diesel fuel is essential for manufacturing, food processing, and for transportation/logistics. Without diesel, trucks, trains, and ships can’t run, and can’t deliver goods.
#4: Biden and the bureaucracy’s war on gas and oil.
The Biden Administration’s war on fossil fuels is having the desired effect it wanted—Less fossil fuel production… and soon fewer trucks on the road.
Unfortunately, every product Americans buy and consume, including food, electricity, and home heating relies on diesel, oil, natural gas, and other fossil fuels.
By shutting down oil and gas pipelines, restricting oil drilling permits, and closing down drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska, Biden and the ideological radical socialist Democrats are turning the United States into a third-world country.
The other problem is a shortage of oil refineries.
#5: Less refineries… Less gas…
The east coast used to have over a dozen refineries, which handle the region’s oil processing requirements perfectly. However, in the past 15 years, the number of refineries has dropped to just seven.
At their peak, refineries used to process roughly 1.64 million barrels of oil a day. Now the refineries that are left can only process a maximum of 818,000 barrels a day.
#6: How the growing crisis will impact you.
The other problem all Americans will face is higher prices for food and other products.
As the supply chain thins and shelves go bare, short supplies will raise the price of goods.
This will impact millions of Americans who are trying to keep their heads above water due to inflation — The diesel shortage will make inflation worse.
We are already seeing supply chain slowdowns in the construction industry, the furniture industry, the appliance industry, and certain food products.
#7: Biden is ignoring the crisis.
So, what’s the Biden Administration doing to fix this problem, before the problem gets worse and before the winter hits and people can’t heat their homes?
When asked, a Biden official said, “…They are keeping a close watch on diesel inventories and working to boost supplies.” That statement was issued a month ago, and they’ve done nothing since.
- Has Biden opened oil production? No.
- Has Biden opened the pipelines? No.
- Has Biden allowed the oil companies to drill? No.
- It seems Biden will be fiddling while New England and the rest of the country freeze.
It’s time for Congress to investigate and act now… too much damage has already been done.
