Biden Abandons Israel in UN—Allows Demand for Israel to Stop Fighting

October 7th, 2023, was the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

Hamas terrorist leaders have vowed to keep attacking until Israel no longer exists.

Since the brutal attack by Hamas terrorists, Israel has been fighting for its very existence.

At first, the Biden administration lightly supported Israel. But as the weeks have passed, Biden’s support for Israel has waned—mainly due to the many anti-Israel, anti-Semitic Democrats that had supported him in the past.

For example, the Biden administration has been using their U.S. veto at the U.N. Security Council to stop any deadly and ineffectual cease-fire resolutions from the UN… Until now.

The US abstained from voting, allowing the United Nations Security Council to pass a resolution demanding an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza.

A US veto would have defeated the resolution as it did before.

The resolution is an order for Israel to cease fire for the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.

Anti-Semitic, pro-Hamas forces worldwide rejoiced and celebrated.

This sent a clear message to the terrorist organization Hamas, vindicating their acts of terrorism, human shield strategies, bombing Israel, and taking hostages.

Hamas welcomed it, and Russia, China, and Algeria voted for it, while Israel called it “a clear departure from the consistent US position,” adding that it “gives Hamas hope that international pressure will force Israel to accept a cease-fire without the release of our hostages.”

The Mullahs in Iran, the leading state sponsors of terrorism, are pleased, to say the least, by the UN resolution.

This was a shameful and craven betrayal that would bring about many more deaths and casualties in Israel and the region if Israel was forced into a ceasefire without conditions.

Israeli plans to finish the job against Hamas by invading an area called Rafah in southern Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled a planned Israeli delegation to the White House and address Congress that was supposed to discuss the Rafah operation.

Netanyahu’s office put out the following statement:

“This retreat hurts the war effort as well as the effort to free the hostages because it gives Hamas hope that international pressure will allow them to get a ceasefire without freeing our hostages. In light of the change in the American stance, Prime Minister Netanyahu decided the delegation would not depart.”

Given Biden’s betrayal of Israel at the UN, the question is how far he will let Israel go to defend itself.

VP Harris said the administration “wouldn’t rule out consequences for Israel,” and Biden has signaled that he will cut off military aid.

The anti-Israel, racist, radical socialist elements in the Biden administration, in academia, and the Democrat party and their supporters have certainly subverted American policy toward Israel.

However, no matter what the US and the rest of the world think about Israel, America must defend this small Jewish democracy.
