Here are 8 things you may not have noticed, but these short items are important:
- Amazon Ring’s Neighborhood Watch: Destroying ICE Raids for Criminals?
Neighbors, an app for Ring doorbell users, alerts neighbors about missing packages, lost pets and common neighborhood problems.
But now it’s being used to alert their communities to immigration agents carrying out searches and arrests.
- 25 Christians Killed by Islamic Extremists
The Islamic State is responsible for a suicide bombing at a Greek Orthodox church in Damascus that killed at least 25 people and injured dozens of others last Sunday.
- Trump: What If 2024 Nonvoters Had Voted – Who Would Have Won?
A new Pew Research Center study found that even if everyone who was eligible to vote in 2024 did vote, President Trump still would have won.
When Pew asked nonvoters who they would have preferred to see in the White House, they chose Trump by a 44%-40% margin.
That means Trump’s popular-vote margin would have expanded from 1.5 percentage points to 3…if they had voted.
- The Number of Illegals in America?
How many illegals are in the U.S…. really?
All kinds of numbers are used, but no one really knows for sure.
The number commonly used is 10 million during Obama’s and Trump’s first term… probably a great underestimation.
But during Biden’s term an estimated 10 million crossed the border.
That would be 20 million.
- Influencers: Republican or Democrat?
Influencers shape public/voter opinion.
27% identify as Republican, conservative or pro-Donald Trump.
21% identify as Democratic, liberal or pro-Kamala Harris.
- Elon Musk XChat Competition with WhatsApp and Signal
Elon Musk has created XChat, an encrypted messaging feature.
This brings X directly into competition with Meta’s WhatsApp and the encrypted messaging platform Signal.
XChat will allow for file sharing, vanishing messages, and audio and visual calls made without a telephone number.
The new functionality is an update to X’s Direct Messages feature.
- FDA Non-Approval Approval of New COVID-19 Shot
The FDA approved a new COVID-19 vaccine from Moderna… or did they?
The approval was for two groups who had received a COVID-19 vaccine.
The first group: people 65 and older.
The second group: those 12-64 with at least one condition that increases their risk of severe COVID-19.
But the FDA is not recommending people receive it.
“There’s another misconception I want to clarify, which is, people have said, ‘You at FDA are recommending the shots to high-risk people and older people.’ I want to be very clear, the FDA is not your doctor. We are not, we don’t recommend shot to people,” Dr. Vinay Prasad said.
The CDC stopped recommending COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children and pregnant women.
- U.S. Verses European Tax Burdens
The Tax Foundation says Belgium has the highest tax burden at 52.6 %.
That is followed by Germany at 47.9% and France at 47.2%.
Switzerland had the lowest tax burden at 22.9%.
The U.S. government’s tax bite comes in at 29.9%.
64% of eligible voters cast ballots in 2024. That’s the second-highest rate since 1904.
1/3 of Americans who could vote did not.
