Exposing Garland: The Untold Stories of DOJ Overreach and Bias

“No one is above the law… not even the president.”

That’s been the talking point of the biased media, the DOJ, radical Democrat politicians, and the White House for the past year, as they use the judicial system to destroy former president Trump…. And other political opponents.

Attorney General Merrick Garland repeated the Deep State’s talking points more than anyone to justify the weaponization of the DOJ and the judicial system against President Trump, as well as Conservatives, Republicans, Christians, and Libertarians.

Yet when Congress asked Garland to turn over unadulterated tapes of Biden’s deposition to Special Counsel Robert Hur, Garland refused.

I guess, “No one is above the law,” except Garland and the Democrats.

During the Obama administration, the House voted to hold then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress over his failure to turn over documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal. Was he arrested or tried? No.

However, when Trump advisors Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon refused to appear before the Jan. 6th committee, they were convicted and sent to jail for defying the committee’s subpoenas… Bannon is appealing the court ruling.

During a recent press conference, Garland declared he would not comply with Congress’ request and would not comply with any subpoenas Congress issues against him.

Surprise, Garland’s DOJ, backed him up by issuing the following statement:

“[The DOJ] will not prosecute Attorney General Merrick Garland after the House voted to hold him in contempt of Congress for defying subpoenas for audio recordings of President Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur.”

In a pathetic attempt to explain his defiance of Congress, Garland used deception to dismiss criticism of himself and Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice (DOJ) with a recent op-ed in The Washington Post.

However, dismissing concerns over the DOJ’s politicization as mere “conspiracy theories” fails to address facts or reality.

Garland’s defiance compelled the House to vote on holding Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over the recording of President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur.

Here’s some of what Garland’s wrote in The Washington Post:

“Recently, we have seen an escalation of attacks that go far beyond public scrutiny, criticism, and legitimate and necessary oversight of our work. They are baseless, personal, and dangerous.

These attacks come as threats to defund particular department investigations, most recently the special counsel’s prosecution of the former president.”

Garland ignores the glaring two-tiered justice system in prosecuting Trump instead of Biden for similar actions regarding classified documents.

As president, Trump had the power to “declassify” documents and take any documents he wanted under the Presidential Records Act.

However, Biden took classified documents as a Senator and vice president—which is a crime. Yet Trump is being prosecuted, and Biden got a pass… similar to giving a pass to Hillary Clinton and her classified email blunder.

In fact, Trump faced an armed raid on Mar-a-Lago, whereas Biden’s personal lawyers were allowed to search his papers and negotiate what they would give back to the Records Department.

But of course, Garland calls any criticism of the handling of Trump’s document case nothing more than “conspiracy theories crafted and spread to undermine public trust in the judicial process itself.”

“These include false claims that a case brought by a local district attorney and resolved by a jury verdict in a state trial was somehow controlled by the Justice Department,” Garland wrote, referring to the Trump “Hush Money” trial.

It’s clear that Garland is using the DOJ to destroy Trump and anyone who opposes Biden and the radical socialist’s Deep State agenda.

Another example of the coordinated attack against Trump is the “Hush Money” case in New York City.

Matthew Colangelo, the former number three attorney at the DOJ, left his position to lead the New York case against Trump.

Colangelo joined the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as senior counsel while Bragg’s investigation into Trump stalled, bringing the case a new strategy.

In response to criticism about Colangelo joining the Trump “Hush Money” trial, Garland writes:

“They [the criticisms] come in the form of false claims that the department is politicizing its work to somehow influence the outcome of an election. Such claims are often made by those who are themselves attempting to politicize the department’s work to influence the outcome of an election.”

Other issues Garland never even addresses are:

  • The DOJ’s extreme measures to expedite charges against Trump during an election season.
  • Special Counsel Jack Smith’s push to bring Trump’s Jan. 6 case to trial before the election
  • His refusal to turn over audio of Biden’s interview with special counsel Hur to Congress to protect Biden during an election year. The transcript “reportedly” shows Biden misremembering key facts, raising further concerns about transparency and accountability.

Garland goes on to twist facts and reality, defending accusations that the DOJ has been weaponized against Conservatives, Republicans, Christians, and Libertarians, writing:

“The Justice Department makes decisions about criminal investigations based only on the facts and the law. We do not investigate people because of their last name, political affiliation, bank account size, where they come from, or what they look like. We investigate and prosecute violations of federal law — nothing more, nothing less.”

It’s a ridiculous statement, considering the DOJ’s track record of going easy on Democrat supporters and throwing the book at non-supporters.

For example:

  • The attacks on pregnancy centers and churches have gone largely unprosecuted, while the DOJ aggressively targets pro-life protesters. For example, 75-year-old Paulette Harlow was sentenced to two years in prison for peacefully blocking a clinic, and Lauren Handy received a 57-month sentence. Meanwhile, Mark Houck was acquitted after his home was raided and family terrorized by armed agents.
  • Charging whistleblowers like Dr. Eithan Haim, who exposed illegal sex change procedures on minors at Texas Children’s Hospital, with felony counts while going lenient on left-wing activists and violent criminals.

Garland’s selective adherence to the law and apparent double standards in the prosecution of Republicans and rarely Democrats reveal a troubling bias in the DOJ’s weaponized operations.
