Here are 7 things you may not have noticed, but these short items are important:
- Supreme Court Victory!
The U.S. Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to enforce its transgender military ban. A judicial activist judge had stopped the ban and Trump appealed it. In a 6-3 decision, the majority granted the administration’s request to halt a lower court’s ruling preventing the policy from taking effect.
Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson were in dissent.
- SCOTUS Upholds “Ghost Gun” Regulations by Agency
The U.S. Supreme Court’s tousling decision on the Biden administration’s rule that severely limits Americans’ ability to obtain gun parts online to assemble their own firearms. The concern was ATF had the authority to issue the regulation. In a 7-2 ruling, the justices upheld the regulation by pointing to the federal Gun Control Act that grants the government this power.
Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote, the law “embraces and thus permits ATF to regulate some weapon parts kits.”
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented from the majority.
Thomas said that the Court “blesses the government’s overreach based on a series of errors.”
- Student Loan Debt to be Collected
Despite Joe Biden’s promises, collection of 5 million defaulted student loans will restart on May 5 for the first time since 2020.
38% of borrowers are in repayment and current on their student loans…68% are in default.
To collect, wages will be garnished as well as other federal payments, including tax refunds and social security benefits.
More than 40 million Americans still owe payment on their federal student loans.
- Taxpayers Money Exposed Government Employees Working on Union Activities
Federal employees spent 2.6 million hours, the equivalent of nearly 300 years, on union activities costing taxpayers at least $135 million in fiscal 2019, according to data from the Office of Personnel Management.
Some of this time is used for federal employees to work on political campaigns and even ballot harvesting. Some of it is simply used for their own projects.
All paid for by you.
- Harris #1 Campaign Advisor’s True Confession: Knew Harris Would Lose and The Polls Wrong
David Plouffe was Obama and then Harris’s #1 campaign advisor. He confessed the campaign’s internal polling never had Harris ahead of Trump.
“We didn’t get the breaks we needed on Election Day,” he said. “I think it surprised people because there was these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw.”
- Those Who Got The Flu Shot Were 27% More Likely To Get The Flu
For over 20 years, I’ve been attacked by the medical establishment. One of the issues was my warning that the flu shots were almost worthless. But a new study by the Cleveland Clinic now says you’re more likely to get the flu.
Flu shots just don’t work very well. They should be pulled from the market unless and until large, long-term placebo-controlled studies prove they’re safe and effective. Flu deaths are soaring in 2025 despite aggressive flu vaccination efforts. Adults who received a flu shot were 27 percent more likely to get the flu this winter, Cleveland Clinic researchers found.
- Mike Huckabee Western Wall Jerusalem
U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, arrived and visited the Western Wall where he placed a prayer from President Trump in the cracks of the retaining wall of the Biblical Temple on the sixth day of Passover.
Ambassador Huckabee recited Psalm 121, “He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps,” and said “on behalf of the President of the United States President Donald Trump, and to present a prayer that he, handwritten gave to me last Thursday at the White House, with the instruction that my first act as the ambassador would be to take his prayer, praying for the peace of Jerusalem and to bring it to the wall, to pray that there would be peace in the land.”

“David Plouffe was Obama and then Trump’s #1 campaign advisor”
I’m certain that you meant Harris, not Trump.
As for the flu; my mother was in skilled nursing for about 5 1/2 years, in additional to some short term stays to recover from falls. Almost every year there was a “flu epidemic”. She was one of very few that didn’t get the flu shot and never got the flu. One year when she was in for rehab, everything stopped, including therapy. Patients were ordered to stay in their rooms. She was so afraid of going backwards without therapy, that she began walking the halls and visiting others, of course exposing herself to the flu. She still never got it.
Neither my husband nor I ever had the shot, and never got the flu. I agree that as with the covid shot, it just about guarantees that you’ll get the flu.
Thanks for your comments about the flu and yes, you are right. It should’ve been Harris and not Trump. Thanks for pointing that out.
