RFK just picked his running mate for the 2024 presidential race, and Democrat’s heads are exploding.
Who did RFK pick?
Businesswoman and lawyer Nicole Shanahan.
Her Bia-Echo Foundation has contributed more than $11.6 million to left-wing causes.
Here are 6 Things You Should Know about Nicole Shanahan…
1) What RFK said about Nicole Shanahan
When Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that tech lawyer and California native Nicole Shanahan was going to be his VP, during a press conference, he said he chose her because she “shared his views on health, censorship, immigration, and more.”
Shanahan has a law degree from Santa Clara University and was a patent lawyer. In 2008, she married Google co-founder Sergey Brin, starting up her own tech company in 2020 called Bia-Echo, a company that helps older women get pregnant.
In 2023, she divorced Brin, switched from a Democrat to an Independent, and became involved in RFK’s campaign.
“I am confident that there’s no American more qualified to play this role than Nicole Shanahan,” RFK said.
Here is some insight into his pick:
“I want Nicole to be a champion to the growing number of Millennials and Gen Z Americans who have lost faith in their future and lost their pride in our country. She’s gonna fight for all those Americans who know what it’s like to skip meals to pay for gasoline and watch food prices climb even higher and wonder how in the world they’re gonna make it through the grocery store checkout line. I’m so proud to introduce to you the next vice president of the United States, my fellow lawyer, a brilliant scientist, technologist, a fierce warrior mom, Nicole Shanahan.”
What Shanahan said:
“This independent movement comes at a time of extreme division in America that threatens to tear this country apart,” Shanahan said. “It is time for a re-alignment. It is time, as Bobby Kennedy says, to focus on our unifying values rather than our divisions.
“Take a close look at his vision for America,” she continued. “It is a vision that I share, too, as I back his campaign and focus the next seven months of my life getting him on each and every ballot in this country!”
2) What Shanahan believes and what she’s brought to the campaign
Here is what Shanahan said about herself:
“These are 2 of the political convictions I hold today—to serve peace and to help those in poverty. So, you can understand why I gravitated to the Democrat Party because that was supposed to be the party of peace, the party of compassion. Many Democrats still believe in those ideals. But unfortunately, as an institution, it has lost its way. There is only one anti-war candidate today, and you won’t find him in the Democrat Party or the Republican Party. He is an independent, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.”
Shanahan’s commitment to the campaign has extended to not only running but contributing money as well.
Shanahan paid $4 million for Kennedy’s Super Bowl ad.
Although she has “switched” from the Democrat Party to the Independent Party, she gave $150,000 to radical Soros DA George Gascon’s campaign and gave huge donations to the campaigns of Joe Biden and Pete Buttigiege in 2020.
Shanahan is a radical socialist with a long history of donating to soft-on-crime causes, including opposition to mandatory minimum prison sentences and supporting the removal of police from schools.
3) Who will Nicole Shanahan attract?
By picking Nicole Shanahan, RFK believes he can attract college students, Gen Z, Millennials, young women, and soccer moms who hate Trump.
4) Will choosing Shanahan help Biden or Trump?
The Biden administration and the DNC are seething about RFK taking votes away from Biden—they feel RFK will definitely help Trump.
However, as for RFK, many political experts are saying that choosing Shanahan as VP won’t help him at all.
“The nomination of Ms. Shanahan will make no difference whatsoever in Kennedy’s bid,” added Jeffrey Berry, a political science professor emeritus at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. “People don’t vote for vice president. They vote for president.”
“Voters want to see a vice presidential candidate they could imagine in the White House,” said Christopher Devine, an associate professor of political science at the University of Dayton in Ohio. “There’s good evidence that when people see a VP pick who is not instantly a credible vice president, they question a presidential candidate’s judgment and are less likely to vote for that person.
“The main reason to choose Shanahan,” Devine said, “seems to be for her money. As a running mate, she is not limited by campaign contribution limits.”
Here’s what Trump said:
“[RFK is] great for MAGA. I love that he is running!”
5) How is RFK doing?
Kennedy is on the ticket in Utah and is nearing access in New Hampshire, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and South Carolina.
An average of the leading polls shows:
- Trump at 41.8%
- Biden at 39.6%
- RFK at 9.2%
6) The Democrat machine on the warpath
President Biden’s campaign team is worried about RFK’s impact on the election.
It’s divided into 2 divisions. The first wants to use traditional methods to destroy Kennedy. The second wants to use lawfare to destroy him.
The DNC filed an FEC complaint against RFK’s campaign, alleging that it was receiving an illegal contribution from his SuperPAC, American Values 2024, because the group was trying to get him on the ballot in several states.
The DNC has created a coalition of lawyers to police candidates. It’s nothing more than a strong-arm tactic to keep certain candidates off ballots using local, state, and federal lawyers, judges, DAs, and AGs.
The DNC and the Biden campaign have built an entire operation dedicated to attacking Kennedy.
According to a report from ABC News:
“In a Democratic National Committee press call, several party surrogates called Kennedy’s presidential bid “disgusting” and a ploy to reelect Trump.”
“All he can do is take away votes from President Biden and make it easier for Donald Trump to win. And we simply can’t afford to let that happen,” said Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Austin Davis.
“There is absolutely no path for Kennedy to become president, and he knows that,” said Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow. “That is why he picked a VP who can fund — who can buy his way onto the ballot in a number of states. First of all, that’s disgusting and an abuse of our democracy. Second, that means that him being in the race means that there is a greater likelihood that Donald Trump will become president again.”
