- The FBI “burn bags” contain thousands of documents.
Here’s what we know and don’t know so far:
- Burn bags are used to destroy sensitive information.
- We haven’t been told how many bags were found.
- It will take time to read and analyze all of the documents.
- They were found in a previously unknown – by FBI Director Kash Patel and his search team – sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) inside the FBI headquarters building.[1]
- One of the items in one of the burn bags was a classified annex to special counsel John Durham’s May, 2023 final report on the origins of the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation regarding Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.[2]
An unnamed source familiar with the classified annex told Fox News, “Ultimately, the release of the classified annex will lend more credibility to the assertion that there was a coordinated plan inside the U.S. government to help the Clinton campaign stir up controversy connecting Trump to Russia.”[3]
- Hillary Clinton’s email scandal is linked to the Russia Collusion hoax.
The story of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State became national headlines in March 2015.
But it resurfaced in 2016 during her campaign for president because:
- A State Department Inspector General report stated that her email system violated government policy.
- The FBI conducted a separate investigation and reported that there was evidence of potential violations of criminal statutes regarding the mishandling of classified information.[4]
Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign managers plotted to fabricate the Trump-Russia collusion narrative to distract the public from the email scandal.[5]
- President Obama pressured the FBI to drop the email investigation.
The Durham annex includes a report from an FBI informant identified as “TI.”[6]
The report states that President Obama pressured FBI Director James Comey through Attorney General Loretta Lynch to drop the email investigation because he didn’t want the scandal to taint his legacy.[7]
The FBI received 8 thumb drives of data and emails from “T1” – 5 of which were never examined.[8]
One of the thumb drives contained President Obama’s emails.
Another “burn bag” document is called the “Clinton Annex.”
This is related to a DOJ 2018 Office of Inspector General Report called the Horowitz Report.
This report suggests that the FBI might have intentionally ignored evidence pertinent to Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information because that evidence contained emails from Obama himself.[9]
- The George Soros Connection.
One of the two intelligent reports from FBI informant “TI” describe “confidential conversations” between Debbie Wasserman Schultz – then the Democratic National Committee Chair – and two members of the Open Society Foundation – Leonard Bernardo and Jeffrey Goldstein.[10]
The Open Society Foundation is funded by George Soros.
The conversations were about how the Clinton campaign would create the Trump-Russia collusion hoax using the phony Steele Dossier combined with linking Trump with the email hack of the DNC servers.
Julianne Smith, a foreign policy advisor to Clinton during 2016, also met with Leonard Bernardo to plot the Donald Trump smear campaign.
In a July 25, 2016 email, Bernardo, senior vice president of Open Society Foundation, wrote that “politicization is on the table.”[11]
He also said that he and Smith had been discussing ways to create a story casting Trump as “an agent of influence” in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attempts to undermine the election “in the interest of Donald Trump.”[12]
Bernardo said in another email, “HRC [Hillary Rodham Clinton] approved Julia’s [Julianne Smith’s] idea about Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections. That should distract people from her own missing emails, especially if the affair goes to the Olympic level.”[13]
- Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard referred documents to the DOJ for criminal prosecution.
As reported in a previous Huey Alert article, DNI Tulsi Gabbard released documents that show former President Obama’s national security team manufactured intelligence at his request – after the intelligence community had concluded that Russia did not interfere in the 2016 election.
“New guidance” resulted in a new intelligence assessment that Russia did interfere in the election to help Donald Trump win.
Not only was there no evidence that Donald Trump was acting as a Russian agent in 2016, there was also no evidence that Russia favored Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton.[14]
There was also no evidence that Russia planned to “use cyber means” or “directly manipulate the actual vote count” to sway the election.[15]
“No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again,” Gabbard said.[16]
“The American people’s faith and trust in our democratic republic and therefore the future of our nation depends on it. As such, I am providing all documents to the Department of Justice to deliver the accountability that President Trump, his family, and the American people deserve.”[17]
- Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced a grand jury.
Pam Bondi’s Department of Justice is taking the criminal referrals from Tulsi Gabbard seriously.
Fox News Digital has learned that an as-yet-unnamed federal prosecutor will be appointed to present the evidence to a grand jury.[18]
No charges have been filed at this point, and no targets for indictment have been revealed.
But three former officials — Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and FBI Director James Comey — have been cited in multiple documents released by Tulsi Gabbard.
The statute of limitations could impact any prosecutions for misconduct that occurred in 2016.
Conclusion:
Sen. Chuck Grassley, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said in a press conference, “History will show that the Obama and Biden administration’s law enforcement and intelligence agencies were weaponized against President Trump.”[19]
“This political weaponization has caused critical damage to our institutions and is one of the biggest political scandals and cover-ups in American history. The new Trump administration has a tremendous responsibility to the American people to fix the damage done and do so with maximum speed and transparency.”[20]
Now, those who perpetrated this conspiracy against a duly elected president must face criminal indictment and prosecution. That includes every public official who knew the truth about the Russia collusion hoax and nonetheless acted on it to undermine President Trump.
