▶ Key Takeaways
- The 2026 midterm election was a blue tsunami that hit not only blue states but also red states.
- Texas, Ohio and Georgia all elected Democrat governors – flipping those states from Republican control to Democrat control.
- Muslim pro-socialist, anti-Israel Democrat Abdul El-Sayed won a Senate seat in Michigan and gave part of his victory speech in Arabic.
- Evangelical participation in the midterm election collapsed to 17% of those who voted – 9.9 million votes less than the historical 25% of the electorate in previous elections.
- An extra 9.9 million evangelical votes would have drastically changed the election outcome.
The election results are in.
And as I warned, it was definitely a blue tsunami.
But it was not only a blue tsunami…
It was a socialist tsunami…
And not only a socialist tsunami, but a pro-socialist, liberal/progressive Christian tsunami as well.
What happened should concern you.
What lies ahead should concern you even more.
Here are 7 things you should know.
1. The blue tsunami hit red states as well as blue states.
The tsunami I predicted did not stop at the borders of Democrat-controlled states.
For example, Texas is no longer a Republican state.
They elected a Democrat governor for the first time since 1991 – and a Democrat to the U.S. Senate for the first time since 1988.
Ohio also elected a Democrat governor and flipped a Republican Senate seat to Democrat.
Georgia elected a Democrat governor, flipping the office from Republican control.
South Carolina elected radical Democrat Annie Andrews to the Senate, flipping that state from Republican to Democrat.
And in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed – a pro-socialist progressive and an anti-Israel extremist who supports Sharia law – won a U.S. Senate seat.
He gave part of his victory speech in Arabic… and is backed by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
These victories give Sanders, AOC and their political allies greater influence as they prepare for the 2028 presidential race.
The socialists are building power within the Democrat Party.
They intend to use it to:
- Increase your taxes
- Waste your time and money on impeachments against President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth
- Increase government regulation and control over your life
- Silence dissent and take away more of your freedoms
- Transform the U.S. into a government-controlled Socialist State
2. There was a collapse in evangelical participation in this election.
Evangelicals failed to come out and vote in the numbers needed.
The exit polls estimated that white evangelical and born-again Christians represented just 17% of the electorate.
This is lower than the historical 25% of the electorate represented by evangelical Christians – including the 2024 presidential election.
Using a preliminary national voter turnout estimate of 124.3 million voters in the midterm election, 17% represents approximately 21.1 million votes.
A 25% share would represent approximately 31.1 million votes.
That’s a difference of approximately 9.9 million fewer votes.
Among white evangelical voters who did vote, 82% supported Republicans.
But support means little if you do not show up.
An additional 9.9 million evangelical votes would have radically changed the outcome of this election.
But pastors were quiet.
And many born-again Christians stayed home.
And now we face the consequences.
3. Progressive pastors and liberal/far-Left “Christian” leaders won powerful national platforms.
We have written about the recruitment of progressive pastors and liberal/far-Left Christian leaders.
They used Christian language.
Biblical references.
Misinterpreted Bible passages.
A misguided moral framework to justify their socialism.
And they won dramatic races.
Adam Hamilton won a Senate seat in Kansas – the first Democrat to win a Senate seat in that state since 1932.
James Talarico won a Senate seat in Texas – the first Democrat to win a Senate seat in that state since 1988.
Ministers Sarah Trone Garriott and Lindsay James won congressional seats in Iowa.
The problem is not that they talked about faith.
The problem is their distortion of biblical principles to justify policies that clearly contradict biblical truth:
- Protecting girls from boys in women’s sports and locker rooms
- Valuing life by protecting the unborn created in God’s image
- Protecting religious freedom
- Standing for the defense of Israel
- …and much more
Too many evangelicals and other Christians failed to stand up for these principles.
They allowed the deception to go unanswered.
Now these leaders have national platforms from which to promote their distortions of biblical truth.
You will be hearing much more from them.
4. Socialism’s deception exploited real anger—and Republican failures.
People were angry about high gas prices driven by the Iranian war against America and Israel.
They were angry about the high costs they were paying, compounded by tariffs that were never explained, and that they don’t understand.
And they were paying the price for federal fraud and overspending, high interest on massive deficits …and inflation.
Socialists took that anger and offered government control as the answer.
More government spending.
More government programs.
More government power.
Medicare for All became one of their promises.
Meanwhile, Republicans failed to offer and clearly explain a convincing alternative to rising health care costs.
They failed to articulate other policies in a way that connected with struggling families.
These failures helped produce what I believe is the biggest socialist transformation of the House and Senate in American history.
Voters wanted relief.
The socialists sold them more government – which will add more economic pain in the long term.
5. Republicans were out-organized—and out-marketed.
We have been telling you this and warning Republican politicians about this for years.
Democrats and socialists organize.
They identify voters.
They recruit volunteers.
They build relationships.
They follow up.
And they get people to vote.
Republicans still do not understand how far behind they are.
Look at El-Sayed in Michigan.
His campaign skyrocketed from 12,000 trained, aggressive volunteers to a nationwide network of over 100,000 people.
His campaign also reported that volunteers had knocked on more than 200,000 doors and made one million phone calls during the primary.
That organizing was reinforced through podcasts, online platforms, influencers and traditional media.
In Texas, James Talarico’s campaign reported 60,000 volunteers knocking on doors and making calls.
These campaigns built organizations that turn support into votes.
Republicans hardly organized at all by comparison.
In my judgment, Republicans remain 25 to 35 years behind Democrats in how to market and get out the vote.
The massive Republican spending had little impact.
Why?
Because it failed to produce the response that mattered: a vote.
Spending money means nothing by itself.
Who you reach matters.
What you say matters.
When you follow up matters.
Whether that person actually votes matters.
The Democrats understand this.
Republicans don’t.
Based on their superior marketing and voter mobilization, the Democrats and Socialists deserved to win.
That should be a wake-up call to all conservatives and Republicans.
6. Expect two years of confrontation, obstruction, and paralysis.
Now comes the drama.
I expect the final two years of the Trump administration to be characterized by paralysis.
Once the new Senate takes office in January, I expect it to block conservative Supreme Court nominees and other conservative judicial appointments.
I expect conservative legislation to stall.
But do not confuse legislative paralysis with political inactivity.
Expect aggressive advocacy for:
- The Green New Deal agenda
- Radical transgender policies
- Socialized medicine – which means less coverage, longer appointment cycles and longer wait times
- Greater government control of private companies.
Their plans will extend beyond what Democrats can pass immediately.
They will be laying the groundwork for 2028.
The next two years will be a campaign for control of America’s future.
7. Christians, conservatives and libertarians have one choice: outperform them.
The Democrats and socialists now believe they can win the 2028 presidential election.
AOC and her allies are mobilizing.
Democrats are mobilizing.
The Red-Green Alliance is mobilizing.
And their organizations are not starting from scratch.
They have voter data.
Contact histories.
Volunteer networks.
Donor relationships.
As voter records are updated, they will know who participated—and they will build upon it.
What will conservatives, Republicans, libertarians and Christians do?
Will we keep relying on the same political consultants, the same spending habits and the same outdated assumptions?
Will pastors remain quiet?
Will Christians stay home again?
Or will we finally organize, communicate and mobilize with the seriousness the situation demands?
We must outperform them.
That means identifying voters.
Recruiting and training volunteers.
Explaining the rationale of biblical non-negotiables in a loving way.
Using accountable marketing.
Following up.
And making sure people vote.
We must not wait until the fall of 2028.
Start now—in your church, in your community and in the organizations you support.
The warning is clear.
The next move is ours.

Q: Which major red-state offices flipped to Democrat?
A: Democrat governors were elected in Texas, Ohio and Georgia, flipping those states from red to blue. Republican Senate seats were flipped in Texas, Ohio, South Carolina and Michigan.
Q: Who is Abdul El-Sayed and why is his election noteworthy?
A: He is a pro-socialist progressive and anti-Israel figure who supports Sharia law. He gave part of his victory speech in Arabic and is backed by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Q: How did Democrats/socialists out-organize and out-market Republicans?
A: Abdul El-Sayed’s Michigan campaign grew from 12,000 trained volunteers to a nationwide network of over 100,000, with more than 200,000 doors knocked and one million phone calls during the primary.
James Talarico’s Texas campaign reported 60,000 volunteers doing door-knocking and calls. Republicans have no comparable ground game to get out the vote.
Q: What should we expect for the final two years of the Trump administration?
A: Legislative paralysis: blocking of conservative Supreme Court and judicial nominees, stalled conservative legislation, and aggressive advocacy for the Green New Deal agenda, radical transgender policies, greater government control of private companies.
Q: What action should conservatives, Christians, and libertarians to take?
A: Outperform Democrats and socialists by organizing immediately—identifying voters, recruiting and training volunteers, explaining biblical non-negotiables, using accountable marketing, following up, and ensuring turnout.
