6 Short Election Realities Most Don’t Know but Should

Huey Report2026 Election, Muslim, Newsom, Polls

Here are 6 election things you may not have noticed, but these short items are important:

1. U.S. Muslim Sharia Law: Ordered to Donate for Radical Candidates

The American Muslim Figh Council of North America issued a fatwa telling Muslims across the United States that they are allowed to send portions of their annual Islamic dues – mandatory almsgiving known as “zakat” – to the campaigns of Muslim candidates and other radical candidates opposed to Israel.

Compulsory charitable collections are an obligatory wealth tax on every eligible Muslim whose net worth is over a certain threshold.

The standard zakat rate is 2.5% of a Muslim’s income to be paid yearly to a qualifying cause. Usually, the donation is for the poor… in this case it’s for radical candidates.

2. Pastors: SBC President Says Speak Out

The president of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the nation’s largest protestant denomination called on pastors to address national political concerns this election.

“Should pastors engage in the political process? They absolutely should,” SBC President Willy Rice argued. “Because many political issues are, at their heart, theological issues and moral issues that strike at the very center of what we believe to be true and what we believe people need to know in order to flourish personally and as a culture.

He added, “I think the pastors need to step up. I think throughout American history, pastors have had a strong voice at key moments in American political history.”

3. Sadly, He Did It: Newsom Signs 2 Muslim State Holidays

Governor Gavin Newsom signed 2 Muslim holidays into law.

It’s his way of reaching the Muslim voting block nationwide in his run for President.

Newsom made Eid-al-Fitr [Festival of Breaking Fast] and Eid-al-Adha [Festival of the Sacrifice] state holidays. That means public schools will be closed on those days and state employees will have the days off.

4. Evangelical Voter Election Change Ahead?

The Pew Research Center says there may be a large decline in President Trump’s support among Christians.

In January 2025 President Trump had 78% approval, and in September/October 2026 it’s 58%.

And white Catholic votes see a change as well. In January 2025 President Trump had 59% approval. It’s now 39%.
