I love Christian music. What are the best songs and artists out right now?

The 2025 Dove Awards just named their winners.

Shelly and I saw Brandon Lake twice this year.

Brandon Lake won the most awards of the night with five, including Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for “Hard Fought Hallelujah” a collaboration with Jelly Roll.

Accepting the award, he said, “Stay in the church but never stop moving toward the lost. That’s what this is about.”

The duo also closed the Dove event with a rousing performance of “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” joined by Grammy-winning pianist Jon Batist.

Shelly and I also saw Forrest Frank. He has become one of the most-streamed voices in Christian pop, won Artist of the year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, for Child of God and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for “YOUR WAY’S BETTER.”

CeCe Winans won Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year for “Come Jesus Come” with Shirley Caesar.

Elevation Worship, joined by Brandon Lake and Chris Brown, took home Worship Recorded Song of the Year for “I Know a Name.”

I’ve seen Phil Wickham perform since he was in high school and saw him in concert this year. His songs are amazing and inspired.

Phil Wickham’s song “The Jesus Way,” got Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year. He read from Philippians while accepting his award, telling the audience “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves.”
