There was a huge Christian voter turnaround in the 2024 election. And when Christians vote for their values, things change.
The Huey Alert recently conducted a survey of our subscribers and asked a short series of questions about their church and pastor’s activity before the 2024 election. The results reveal an exciting trend toward a return to Christian influence.
Pastors played an important role in the process.
Here are 7 ways we know that Pastors changed the election:
- In 2016, Pastors spoke up for the first time about cultural decline and government interference with Christian rights – Trump was elected. But in 2020, Pastors and their congregations were much more silent – Conservatives and Trump were defeated.
- In 2024, Pastors once again were more involved – and Trump is headed back to the Oval Office
- From our survey, we found that 80 percent of Pastors encouraged their congregation to be involved and vote, a sign that Pastors are more concerned than ever before
- A little more than half the Pastors addressed the key issues with their congregation, a critical move to helping undecided voters select candidates most aligned with their Biblical values
- 31 percent of those surveyed said their Pastors allowed the church to distribute voter guides or important campaign information, some even setting up tables with materials
- Almost 40 percent of the Pastors discussed the election and even the candidates with their congregations
- Comments from survey participants revealed that many Pastors explained what the Bible says about issues that were prominent in the 2024 election, and although they did not mention specific candidates, they made it clear how the Bible lines up with Conservative views
Pastors stepped up this election season, and the results are undeniable. But it’s no time to quit. Instead, Christians should stay vigilant in pressing forward to make the changes in our culture to make sure our values and beliefs are protected.
We aggressively contacted Pastors for the 2024 elections, sending copies of The Christian Voter book to Pastors in key swing states as part of our desire to stimulate them to stand up for Christian values by encouraging their congregations to vote for their values.
